Irritation or not

I wonder if you'd get annoyed if your mother-in-law constantly said that the baby in your belly, who isn't born yet, looks incredibly like her husband on a weird 3D ultrasound at 23 weeks? How would you feel about that?

Forgot to mention that she said this to all her grandchildren (not mine).. it doesn't matter if they're girls or boys, they all look like him?

    Hey,

It does seem a bit annoying, indeed, because it's kind of a shared joy for you as the soon-to-be parents. But you mentioned that it's said more often? Have you thought about what the underlying reason might be?

No, no idea actually. But you know what's the worst? I'm seriously debating whether to get a 3D ultrasound done around 30 weeks. I kind of want to, but you know what I mean? I feel so bad about it.

If you really want that ultrasound, I wouldn't let her comments stop you. I get that it's annoying, but I think she's just looking for family traits from your man's side.

Oh, exactly the kind of mother-in-law here. All the good traits come from dad's side. But oh no, if the kids ever have a tantrum. Then they're stubborn and a bit rebellious and suddenly they seem like me.

According to her, anyone who deviates even slightly from her standards is suddenly a severe autistic.

But aside from this, she's actually a nice person.
