I'm pregnant! Baby #2

My period should start today, but I’m feeling something different in my belly. Took a test and this was the result!
Totally unplanned, but very welcome!
We’re having our 2nd child.
It’s really special for us to experience this. After years of investigations due to chronic abdominal pain, we were told the chance of getting pregnant was very slim to none.
Now I just need to tell “dad,” but he’s coming home in a week due to work abroad. Does anyone have a tip on how to tell him in a fun way?

Aaaah how nice, congratulations! Just browse the internet a bit. I've had a onesie lying in the closet for about half a year with a text like "hi daddy, im going to be your baby" or something like that. It's been there for so long.. I've forgotten the text.

My boyfriend sometimes drinks a beer on weekends, like Friday night, and was thinking about attaching the test to the bottle.

But going out to eat is also nice, and then asking the staff if they want to put the test on his plate with another plate on top of it, but then you're in a space with other people too.. that's a bit annoying. It's supposed to be a moment just between the two of you. TRICKY!

I'm curious how you're going to handle it, maybe I can steal an idea from you (by the way, if it comes to that)

    Thank you!
I've made up my mind. I had a gold ring made and he'll only see it in a week when he's back home. So that's a nice reason to give it to him! I have a ring box with a pacifier inside that says "you're becoming a dad". He'll get the box with the ring first and then the box with the pacifier.
Our daughter will turn 1 in February. That's the day of our first ultrasound. I'll be 7 weeks then and I'm hesitating whether to tell our parents, brothers and sister on that day. It is a beautiful day to share the news. For the rest of our friends/acquaintances, I think we'll let them know on my partner's birthday in March.

So beautiful! Really curious about his reaction. Are you going to film it?

And personally, I'd also like to do it that way. Tell the family after you've had the ultrasound. It makes it much more emotional because you then have an ultrasound photo too

My boyfriend came home last night. Wow, his reaction. He was so happy. It's such a special thing to experience. We're having a hard time keeping it a secret for a bit longer, but I think it's a beautiful day to announce it at our daughter's first birthday. So we have to keep quiet for another two weeks haha!
