How does an early miscarriage feel?

Hi everyone..

For those who have had a very early miscarriage, and I mean really between 4-5 weeks.. how did it feel? Was it the same as a normal period or was it different?

Hi Coconut, my story might already be familiar to you, but my previous miscarriage was at 4 weeks and 2 days. I started bleeding on Monday morning and had some light period-like cramps. The bleeding continued until Tuesday evening. After that, I felt empty, and my tests turned negative after a week. I didn’t lose any clots.

Thanks Clautjuh, I was wondering if that could be the reason.. as you know, I only got my period again 7 weeks after the miscarriage, and now it's been 15 days, plus I have a lot of thick mucus. I thought, maybe it was an early miscarriage, but I don't know if thick, sticky mucus can also be a sign of a very early miscarriage..?

Oh okay, my blood was also a bit different than with an ectopic pregnancy, for example. A bit watery/mucus-like. Nice explanation haha. Yeah, it remains difficult to understand your body after a miscarriage. And every woman reacts differently. I hope you get clarity soon.

Think your cycle needs to get going again? No experience with that here..
My miscarriage was at 2-3 weeks, I did have really intense cramps that started with brown blood.
