Probably an early miscarriage. Had one last year in May too.

But then the hcg stays in your urine, right??

I went through the same thing. I felt really different 4 days before my expected period, dealing with various symptoms. Eventually, I took tests and they showed faint lines. On the day of my expected period, I had a drop in temperature and in the evening, I noticed some bleeding when urinating and wiping, which lasted about a day and a half. So, I had an early miscarriage. On the ultrasound, it was clear that my uterine lining had returned to its resting phase.
I wish you lots of strength.

No, hCG doesn't stay in your body after a very early miscarriage. That's why the line fades much faster. hCG doubles every two days, and probably your embryo didn't implant properly, or it was an egg or sperm that wasn't viable. Don't worry, don't lose hope.
