First pregnancy test positive, then negative

Hi ladies!

We're preparing for our first baby. I took a pregnancy test last night and it was faintly positive. I took another one today, but it was negative. I took one more tonight, and again it was negative. Am I pregnant or not?

Thanks in advance!

Did you always use the same brand? Some need more hCG than others. Are you already at your period or is it late?

If you've been using the same tests all the time, I'm afraid you're not pregnant. Maybe you were for a short while. A large number of pregnancies end very early on. Sometimes so early that you didn't even know you were pregnant.

    Hey Anne,
Thanks for your reply! I didn’t use the same tests—I had two left from Sensitest (the first one was light positive) and also picked up a few from the Kruidvat brand, which I used one of.
I’m still in my waiting period, I guess, but from this cycle on I’ve really started tracking things, including my temperature.

Then there's nothing else to do but wait and test daily or every other day. That uncertainty is awful. I hope you'll see a nice line again that starts to rise.

Yes indeed, today I'm going for a nice walk in the woods. I'll test again tomorrow morning; I think testing every other day is good enough.

Good plan, Christine. I'm really curious how your test goes tomorrow!

I'm really curious too, but I try not to hope too much because I'm afraid of being disappointed, even though you do it automatically anyway.

Of course. It's only logical that you're holding onto hope. As long as you haven't gotten your period yet, you always hold onto hope. I do too
I'm cheering hard for you that you'll see two beautiful lines tomorrow!

Thank you Anne, love you! I'll let you know tomorrow

And Christine, have you tested it yet?

I'm curious too, Christine! How was the test?

    The test was unfortunately negative

I think I should get my period this weekend. I'll do one more test on Thursday; I have a Kruidvat test that lets you test earlier.

Tip; test after your period! You can't really rely on those early tests (you're seeing that now) and you'll just end up stressing yourself out!

Thanks Merel, I will, so I'll wait until Saturday/Sunday.

Wow, this is getting really weird. I had bleeding yesterday and today, and now I have a faint positive test again. I'm not sure what's going on anymore.

Light positive? If you had a line, it's simply positive. A little bleeding can always happen, but it shouldn't be too much, especially if the test is positive and you have cramps! When did you test? Otherwise, just buy a pregnancy test tomorrow and test!

I took the test this morning. By "light positive," I meant a faint line. I've had quite a bit of bleeding, but not as much as usual.

    Hi ladies,
I have a question. I tested positive for my period a few days after it started, and then again a couple of days later. But now, two weeks later, I’m experiencing a lot of bleeding without any cramps, pain, etc.
    What do you think?
    Greetings, Manon

Hi, I'm feeling insecure too. 5 days before my expected period, I thought I had started my period, but it was different. Just 1 day, no clots. Implantation or a glitch? 2 days later, watery discharge, 4 days later, a bit whiter, less watery. Tested positive, very surprised and cautiously happy.
Now on day 9, out of curiosity, I tested again, hoping for a more visible line, but it stays blank. No bleeding, though, and I'm nauseous, and my bra feels tighter, with pressure in my belly.
Appointment with the doctor in 2 weeks.
Does anyone have an idea what to do?
    Love
