Hi lovely ladies,

I've been struggling with something for a while. We've been trying to have a baby for 3 years now.
Unfortunately, I've never gotten pregnant.
We also had my partner's sperm checked, and everything was fine.
The only issue is that the sperm don't swim well enough, the gynecologist told us.
With me, they couldn't find anything wrong, luckily! I also have a normal cycle.
28 days, I have to say that my partner smokes and the gynecologist has
advised him to quit smoking as that would help the sperm swim better. Unfortunately, he can't seem to quit, so she doesn't want to help us further with treatments until he stops.

I really don't know what to do anymore, I feel like I'm getting depressed.
I'm always thinking about it and I want this so badly.

Ladies, help me. Who can relate to this? Who can give me some good tips?

Wow, that's intense Noa. I don't have experience with waiting so long, but I can totally imagine how much this takes out of you. Honestly, I don't get your friend. If this isn't motivation to stop, I don't know what would be? It's proven that a healthy lifestyle can improve sperm quality. So I guess I have to agree with the gynecologist. Is his desire for a child just as strong as yours?

Have you already gone for a second opinion...? Or started medication to quit smoking??

Hey Noa, my husband also handed in his seed for testing today. He's tried to quit a few times and it works for a few weeks sometimes but not for long. I totally get that you're feeling desperate right now. It's really annoying that the gynecologist won't help you further. I hope we don't have to hear that too. Would get it checked again at another place too.
