Getting pregnant after the pill

Hey ladies,
I've been chatting here and there with other conversations. But I really wanted to start a new thread now.
I stopped the pill in September.
My first cycle was 26 days.
The second was 31 days.
I was already super happy with that, because it could've been 60 days.
Any other ladies who've stopped the pill and want to share their experiences, stressful moments, and hopefully some happy moments here?

    Hi,
I had my last contraceptive pill on Sep 12 and should actually have gotten my period again on Dec 12. But we wanted a baby and I didn't go on it. I once stopped taking the contraceptive pill before and got my period again after 2 weeks. Now it's been even longer and still no period.. I have very painful breasts and nipples with a brownish ring and small white spots on them. I also sometimes feel little stabbing pains in my left groin and occasionally feel nauseous..

taking a test now would be too early.
    withdrawal bleeding or pregnant?

I stopped the pill in November, now on round 2. Haven't felt any ovulations or gotten other signals yet. That's probably the "post-pill" phase. First cycle was a neat 28 days. Anonymous, you sound pregnant

I feel my ovulation pretty well (I think)... On Thursday evening, I felt some little twinges on the right side. That could well be my ovulation. Given my perfect 28-day cycle, that would be great. Then maybe the whole egg-hunting thing won't be so bad for me...

It's exciting, isn't it, all that uncertainty. I notice I'm really thinking about it a lot... I have so much respect for all the women who have been trying for a long time.

And anonymous, it could be ovulation. It could also definitely be pregnancy!! Exciting, huh!

For my first pregnancy, I had been on the pill for over 9 years. Stopped 2 weeks before my wedding and got a positive test 6 weeks after the wedding.
Second pregnancy was immediate after stopping the pill. 8 weeks after stopping, I got my period, and looking back, it was probably a miscarriage. Right after that, I got pregnant with our second.

Doja, that's really super fast for you guys!! How do you handle it if I may ask? Every other day sex, specifically missionary position? Do you stay lying down?

For my 3 pregnancies, 'project baby' was each time strongly libido-enhancing. I didn't pay attention to positions and frequency, because it just happened naturally. I got lucky that I felt my ovulation, and that worked positively for both of us. We never did it like that's called, but only did something when we felt like it.
Apparently, we are a hyper-fertile couple.

Hey ladies, this is my first time actively posting on a forum and I'm really looking forward to hearing your stories and sharing mine.
I'm 26 and have been off the pill since September. It's all quite exciting! I was on the pill for about 10 years, and secretly I was pretty happy that my period returned around the time it was supposed to. Since then, I've had a regular cycle of about 28 days. I'm really curious about my ovulation though—whether it even happens and stuff like that. I haven't felt it yet, though.
But, well, it's nice that you're getting pregnant so quickly!

Hi Emm! Welcome! So you're now three months along? Do you have a specific approach, or are you letting nature take its course? Exciting, huh?

Most people choose to have sex during the fertile window. We’re doing that now too, and then you can have an extra one during your fertile week! Luckily, my husband would want to do it twice a day every day, but I hear my friends complain sometimes. How about you guys?

Since my boyfriend works in shifts, we're not always as active as we'd like to be. Plus, last month I just didn't really feel like it on my end. Due to gut issues and stuff (Crohn's).
But that's been pretty calm now, thankfully, and I'm noticing the desire is coming back too.
First, let's wait and see if I get my period again! According to the calendar it should be Thursday, but I've realized my body is being stubborn and it always ends up being a day later haha.
I'm so curious to find out what it feels like to be pregnant and carry a little human????

You're not counting on it being a hit this month anymore, are you, Emm? Quite exciting, your nerves so quickly.

It's a very strange feeling if you feel good about it; otherwise, you're sick for a few months, hehehe!
  12. Emm91 #13

I'm definitely hoping for it! Just try to stay as calm and level-headed as possible, and we'll see what happens
If it does turn out to be a hit, I'll let you know for sure!!

I can already imagine myself feeling nauseous during pregnancy. I already get heartburn pretty quickly

I’ve also stopped the pill after 15 years, since August. I’ve really been trying to get pregnant since October. My boyfriend isn’t in any rush about it at all. I’m sorry, but I’m very impatient. I’ve been on a 27 to 28-day cycle for 6 months now. My blood tests are all very good, including my hormones... so I have to be patient. Everyone tells me not to focus too hard on it, but I wake up with this feeling and go to sleep with it too. The desire is so strong!!!
Greetings and wishing you all success too.

Hey Jolien, it's so nice that you have such a regular cycle! I totally get how you feel. I might be more into it than I always admit When you really want something, it's hard not to think about it.

I'm currently in a very uncertain period. Last Thursday I officially had my period, but it didn't come (usually it's 1 or 2 days later). On Friday, I noticed I had some kind of muscle soreness in my stomach without working out haha. The next day still nothing, and a busy day. During the day, I had coffee with different people and in the evening, I ate and played games with friends. All afternoon I felt weird, with occasional nausea, and in the evening it got worse. My stomach was completely upset, and I couldn't swallow another bite because I felt so bad. Luckily, it came in waves. I told my friend, either I'm really pregnant or my body is really messing with me!! The next morning, as soon as I woke up, I took a test, and unfortunately, it was negative Still, I kept having a strange feeling in my stomach. Today, I finally got my period, but so far only a little bit, while normally it's like the floodgates open So it could go either way, or my body is really playing tricks on me.

Do you also have a lot of trouble sometimes not knowing what to think of your own body? Besides that, I don't have any other symptoms, so I'm not sure what to think now.

But Jolien, lots of luck with everything, and I hope you get a positive test soon!
  15. Merel #16

Hi Emm, tough about a woman's body, right! He's taking it that the test was negative and you've become pregnant, so on to the next round then?
  16. Emm91 #17

Well, Merel, you can say that. But on to the next round, yes
