Hi lovely forumers, (do you say that?)

I'm new here and already have a question that's probably been asked thousands of times.

My partner and I have decided to try for a baby. I haven't taken the pill for years, so we always used condoms before. Over the past few months, I've been tracking when my period is due and when ovulation occurs.

It was on December 27th, and on December 26th we had some "fun." That same evening I was pretty tired, but nothing more. Maybe Christmas stress. ;-) Yesterday I felt quite nauseous all day long and got occasional waves of headache. I thought I felt slight twinges in my uterus. Also, I've been urinating frequently. Today I woke up with three big pimples on my face and a bloated belly. My intestines are rumbling like crazy! I'm still feeling nauseous and have a headache behind my eyes today. Sometimes it feels like I might have a bladder infection.

My question is, can this happen so soon? I'm not really focusing on it. We've only just started, but it feels pretty typical. I've been reading a lot about women who experience 'symptoms' right away. I'm really curious to hear your experiences and opinions. :-)

2 days ago I did some DIY... seems to me that it's not pregnancy-related issues. I think it's more noticeable now because you're consciously trying for it.

I've actually never heard of women having symptoms right away—where do those come from then? It can't be the hcg yet because implantation is always later, right? Even with a twin pregnancy, I only really noticed it in the 5th/6th week. But that varies from woman to woman, of course. But since you'd have twice as many hormones with twins, you'd expect symptoms earlier.
Hopefully you're not caught up in the flu epidemic that's going around! And I hope it's a quick success for you guys.

That's probably just in your head, and there's not much to worry about. Thanks for your responses. Hope I don't catch another flu. I just got over it two months ago.
