Lasse or Roef

We're choosing between these two names for our son. We wanted something original and came up with the names below. Which one do you like best? (Even if it's not your taste ;-)

When I think of Lasse, I think of the verb "to weld" or a lasso.
With Roef, I picture a dog, and not just a boring dog, but a really funny one.
So then I think Lasse is the best option. I vote for Lasse.

What I really like: Jelle or Jesse. But maybe that's a bit too 'normal' (not original) for you guys?

I don't want to hurt your feelings, but Lasse plasse? roef boef? Did you also think about bullying?

As for teasing: there are so many names that rhyme with weird words. I wouldn't let that bother me at all.

Lasse or Roef; Roef, then I immediately think of Roef Ragas. And Lasse hasn't been a particularly special name for a long time. I think Lasse is the nicest.
    Maybe Sverre is another idea?

I think Lasse is a really nice name. Lasse sounds happier/more cheerful than Roef. I find Roef a bit less...
