Pregnancy tests, ovulation and ovulation tests

Just a quick question..
I actually planned not to use ovulation tests because I can usually tell when my fertile period is just by looking at my discharge.. but I gave in anyway..
So I think I got a positive on 12-12.. On 11-12 I had fertile mucus (sounds so gross, right?)
Now, the thing is, my husband isn't home during the week for work. We had sex on the 10th and 11th... Is that too early? Or could it be that the sperm might survive in there for a while? I always find it so hard to figure out what's exactly perfect...

Sperm can survive longer than your egg does, so it's quite possible, really. Better to have sex before ovulation than after.
