When did you tell about the pregnancy?

Hi everyone,
I'm curious about how many weeks you all waited before sharing the big news with family.
Did you wait until after your first trimester?
Or did you tell close family as soon as you knew you were pregnant?

First, get used to it yourself, then tell your sister right away, parents at 6 weeks, everyone else at 9 weeks. My husband couldn't keep his mouth shut haha. I always found it nice to wait for the dating scan before making it public. It's personal what you want!

Friday I have an appointment with the GP, and we hope to tell our parents at Christmas.
First, let's wait and see on Friday!

    Hey,
I told them right away when I was pregnant, I was about 9 weeks. I was over the moon and couldn't keep it to myself.

My mom at 8 weeks because I ended up in the hospital with HG (dehydration from severe vomiting and not being able to keep anything down)

At 11 weeks, after the dating scan, told my in-laws, and at 14 weeks told everyone.

I have a history of miscarriages, so my husband and I chose to keep it more private for peace of mind.

The first time I was pregnant, I told all the family and my best friend at 5 weeks, and that ended in a miscarriage.

It's totally understandable that you're waiting until after the scan. A miscarriage is painful enough, so I'm looking for that reassurance too. I only told people at 20 weeks, when the baby was growing as it should. Then you don't have to hide at Christmas either. Strength on Friday at the doctor's.
