Name stress

Over 36 weeks pregnant and we can't decide on a name! We think Alize is a nice name but my husband doesn't like it because it can be confusing to pronounce as a_lize or aa-lize. The 'a' seems to stand alone like in a-sociaal or a-relaxed. Lize isn't an option because a niece already has that name. Who can help? Similar name?

I think Alize is really beautiful. And personally, I'd go for Alise with an s. Don't stress about it! It's just fine.

Good tip on putting the stress on the I. That makes it sound better for me now. Still, I have to think a lot about how to pronounce the name. Personally, I still don't find it very easy to pronounce. It doesn't roll off the tongue nicely, I think. Eva, for example, that comes out so easily. But Julia, for instance, I find less easy to pronounce. All in all, I wonder if it will get used to. If someone else says the name, I think it sounds nice.
    Greetings,

But I'm not really a fan of very short names, you know.
