Very late ovulation?

Hi everyone,
I hope you can help me. Here's my situation; my last period started on November 11th. My ovulation tests started showing up from November 24th, and I clearly had my peak on the 26th. Since I didn't have any fertile mucus, I kept testing and the test stayed positive. On December 2nd it was still positive. Then my ovulation tests ran out. Now it's December 6th and I woke up this morning with a lot of fertile mucus. I bought a test at Kruidvat and the test line is darker than the control line. So that's a peak.
This means my ovulation is on day 26/27!! I've never experienced this before. Does anyone have an idea how this could happen? Pregnancy is unfortunately not the case because I just tested negative.

Hi a positive ovulation test doesn't mean your egg has actually released, and if that happens, your body might try again!
Which ovulation tests have you used, all from Kruitvat or did you try another brand first?
Kruitvat ovulation tests are known for always showing positive, which is really annoying!
But if you're having fertile mucus now, I'd definitely take advantage of it and go for it!

Oh, that's so nice of you to reply so quickly! I always use the pregnancy tests from Zwanger en Kids. I'm very happy with them. Unfortunately, they ran out last Saturday. Since my peak kept going, but there was no fertile mucus, and then this morning I got a whole load of mucus, I ran to Kruidvat. And they're really great. I find it very strange. So it's possible that my egg couldn't release? Or even two ovulations?

I'm following along Last month I ovulated on day 15/16, but this month I didn't see a line on the test, just a little discharge.

@Mady, I totally get your frustration. ZandK's tests are indeed usually more accurate. If the test stays super positive, it could be that your body isn't cooling down from the hormone surge because the egg didn't release. Two ovulations are super rare, so that seems less likely. Maybe it's just a weird cycle. If you're unsure, just give your GP a call to be sure.
