Choosing baby products

Hi,

I'm 20 weeks pregnant now, but I really don't know which brands I should buy for my baby stuff.
Which brands do you guys go for?
What or who influences your choice? (other parents, friends, vlogs)

Hi! I got some stuff and don’t buy too expensive items. I think Zwitsal smells nice, but some kids don’t tolerate it well for their skin (my son’s face was a definite no-go).

I’d only buy essentials and see what works for you; you can try other brands later. For diapers, I used Kruidvat, and now also Aldi’s—I read reviews online and let the price guide me

One thing: your baby doesn’t care at all in the beginning what they wear or what they’re cleaned with. So no brand-name clothes here Good luck and enjoy shopping—it’s so much fun!

Kruidvat diapers are indeed really good. I used Weleda care products because I found Zwitsal too perfumed. Not too much, just hair wash and shampoo and body lotion. Also Sudocrem and Vaseline.

Does Weleda smell similar to Zicam? Sudocrem is a must-have, and you need a thick layer—it helps the most. I use it about twice a month or so

No, Weleda smells different from Zwitsal. I think it smells nice, but that's personal, of course.

I got all the Zwitsal products, but after two weeks of use, they were really strongly perfumed. My son has very sensitive skin and now has eczema too. And you can't predict that in advance, so my advice is to get a few products with 0% fragrance, like baby wash or baby bath oil. And of course, baby laundry detergent is also fragrance-free. I also find the diapers from DM Germany really nice – the big orange pack – and they're 3 euros cheaper than at Kruidvat, so I buy them there!
