    Hi Lola,

First of all, congratulations on your pregnancy!!

I knew I was pregnant at 5 weeks, and within a week my kids and parents knew, a few days later my colleagues too.
I was so happy, couldn't keep it to myself...

    Good luck!!

    @Lola,

Congratulations on your pregnancy... and yeah, you should do what your heart tells you to do...
We told after 12 weeks... But that was because I also wanted to wait for all the tests first... And then, after getting the results, we told them...

Good luck with telling, and just see how it feels... and to whom yes and to whom no...
At some point, they'll all see it anyway, and you can't avoid it...

    Love, Ju

    Hi Lola,

We told the family right away. I was so happy I wanted to tell everyone, but I didn't do that. The friends and acquaintances who've seen me lately, well, they know now too because I've got a bit of a baby bump and really can't hide it anymore. But I'm still holding off on telling everyone.

We're going to the gynecologist for the second time today. Today we're going to hear the heartbeat for the first time. We're looking forward to it, it's EXCITING!!!

    Good luck with your pregnancy!

    Xxx

    Hey everyone,

I already told my work about week 4. They were the very first to know. I had to, because in my job I have to go on maternity leave almost immediately due to infection risk and risk of aggression (so a year at home starting from week 6). This coming weekend we'll tell our family right away too. Some friends already know.

The reason we're telling people so soon is mainly because I have to stop working, of course. I can't keep it hidden for long. But also because the observant people in my circle already figure everything out right away (if you suddenly stop drinking alcohol, are very tired etc.. that does stand out). And it's of course also something nice to share, right!

This is my second pregnancy and with my previous pregnancy we also told people right away. It went wrong shortly after (ectopic pregnancy) but I'm still glad we had already told so many people. The support you get then does you a lot of good and it was hard to explain to people who still knew absolutely nothing why I was lying in the hospital...

So for me it's basically only advantages to telling people quickly. If it goes well, you have months longer to enjoy talking about it, and if it doesn't go well, there are at least many people around you who care and support you...

I wish you all lots of luck! That we can all have good pregnancies, okay!

    Love

Ladies, congratulations! It's great to be pregnant!
I'm from Poland and it's quite common there to share the good news pretty quickly. Especially with your family and close friends. Acquaintances will hear about it if things go well.
I was pregnant last year. One day after the positive test, we told our parents, within a week to brothers and sisters, etc., and as the belly grows, so does the circle of people who know.
Waiting until the "magical" 12th week seems a bit strange to me, but that's just me. I completely agree with AppelSien. If things go wrong, you also need support from people to process it.
