Honest opinion please.

Hi! My husband and I have liked the name Evi for a few years now. We’re expecting a girl, but we’re still unsure because my sister-in-law’s stepson is named Levy... What do you think? Go for it or not?

    Just do it. You've been going around with this name for a couple of years now!
    And I think it's a nice name for a girl.

    I assume your stepson from your sister-in-law doesn't come to your house every day, so you won't have to say "Levy and Evi" in one sentence that often... It's also spelled completely differently. You could still choose Eva if you want more difference... But if you think Evi is the prettiest: just go for it!

    Thanks for your replies. We don’t see that stepson very often either.. he doesn’t live with them either.
    Fortunately, we still have a little more time.. I still find it difficult!

    Sure, no problem at all, especially since it's a girl and a boy. If it were two boys with almost the same name, I wouldn't do it! But this works perfectly fine!
