Hi,

my girlfriend recently took a pregnancy test and it seemed like it was faintly positive. (Kruidvat test 2v5)

Last week, a mom from "Moeders voor Moeders" came by and she also took a test, which said positive but her hormones were still too low to be reliable.

Today, she took another Kruidvat test just to be sure, but this time it came back negative... What should we do about this? Because for us, this is very unclear since it's the first time for me that my girlfriend might be pregnant. So I'm asking for your advice!

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, many pregnancies go wrong right from the start. It’s possible that this has happened to your friend. She could contact her GP. I hope it turns out okay in the end! But it doesn’t sound very positive, unfortunately.

I actually don't hope for it, but next Friday we're supposed to have our first ultrasound... What's the sensible thing to do? Call them tomorrow to see if they can reschedule?

I'm afraid Claudtjuh might be right. Having an ultrasound sooner can help with your anxiety, but it won't help your pregnancy. You should just talk to your doctor about it.

I'd call anyway. Maybe you can get in sooner. Are you losing blood?

no, that's not it. she also skipped her last period. and since then, she hasn't had her period again. so yeah

You could also call the VK and explain it. Maybe you're allowed to come in now for an ultrasound. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound very positive, but based on an ultrasound, they can probably clarify a few things for you. Strength!
