Hi ladies,

I'm new here and have a lot of questions!

Since I have a fairly irregular and long cycle, I've been tracking my temperature and using ovulation tests since September.
Last Friday, 3/11, I was on cycle day 26 and had a very clear positive ovulation test. That morning, my temperature also dropped to 36.2.
After that, it started rising, and there was even a second rise.

1/11: 36.6
2/11: 36.5
3/11: 36.2 (ovulation)
4/11: 36.7
5/11: 36.7
6/11: 36.7
7/11: 36.7
8/11: 36.7
9/11: 36.9
10/11: 36.9
11/11: 36.9
12/11: 36.9
13/11: 36.9

On DPO 4, I started feeling a nagging sensation in my lower abdomen; it comes and goes.
Then I suddenly had very sore breasts; they feel very tense, and my nipples are sensitive too.
I've only felt this phenomenon twice in my life, but much less intensely.
I also started getting quite a lot of white discharge a few days ago.
Are these just very normal things for an impending period, or is there more to it?
I really don't know, but it makes me feel really unsure.

So I have no idea when I can start testing given my irregular cycle.
The longest cycle I've had so far is 40 days, with one outlier of 61 days.
Then my period was induced with Duphaston.

I couldn't resist this morning and took a test anyway... negative, of course...
Am I getting ahead of myself, or can I hope a little bit already?

Does anyone know what to do?

Hi Liela. It's been a while since your ovulation, so add 14 days to that date and then you could test. I wouldn't test too early though; you could still get your period even if the egg was implanted. You usually don't get symptoms that quickly, but it can happen. Unfortunately, they don't always tell you much. It's an uncertain time and your body can play tricks on you. I had absolutely no symptoms with my kids. So it could go either way. Hopefully, your patience will be rewarded with a positive test! Good luck.

    Hi Clautjuh,
Thanks so much for your reply! I’m also glad someone’s bringing me back down to earth for a moment, because this is the first time everything looks so promising, but of course it could also mean absolutely nothing.
So I’ll stop testing too quickly and just wait until the weekend.
It does feel strange that I’m suddenly feeling these weird sensations—I normally don’t have any issues when my period is coming.
My temperature has dropped and I had a positive ovulation test, but my doctor even suggested that maybe my egg didn’t release. Could that be possible? Of course, you can only guess!

That's exciting for you! So just wait and see. As for feeling pregnant: I always felt a lot, but never as little as when I was actually pregnant. Every month my body and I played tricks on each other, so I really advise you to focus on whether your period is late and if you have a positive test!

    Hi Heart!
I see that you're pregnant, congratulations!!!
And indeed, I'm now calmly waiting. My temperature is at least staying quite high, it even went up a little bit more. Otherwise, I actually feel pretty normal, apart from those sore breasts!
I'll just let things unfold for now. For the moment, I don't feel like my MS symptoms are going to kick in.
So they'd better stay away then!

    Can you already test, Lila?

    Hey,

Unfortunately, my period came yesterday.. On to the next round again!
It was 2 days late and I've never had such a painful period, wow!
Lay in bed all day with stabbing pains in my stomach.
    Fortunately, it's better today.

This round felt quite different from the others to me.
Curious how this time will go.
