Brown discharge

Hi girls,

I'm hoping for similar experiences from you all..
I was supposed to get my period last Sunday 5/11.
On Saturday 4/11 I got brown discharge, which is usually a sign for me before my real period starts.. so I was already feeling down. But... so far it's just stayed at brown discharge. Too little to use a tampon. No red blood. (Sorry for the details). I took a pregnancy test today. It was very negative! I do have some weird cramps though.
Could I still be pregnant because my period hasn't come through?
Are there any girls who have had this too?
I'm hoping for positive stories!!

    Then I guess I won't respond. But it's a positive story: brown discharge in the first 12 weeks, everything was in place and stayed there. So who knows..

    It's still exciting, isn't it? I'm sometimes jealous of women who can just wait a week to test, although I waited this time with the suspicion and the weekend, but only because I didn't have a test at home

    Yeah, I hope so for you too. Who knows, it could be implantation bleeding? You seem to have all kinds of that. You're always allowed to complain! Our first one was round 12 and this time I hadn't had a period after giving birth to number 1, so I really tested to check for symptoms. I was so tired! Pain while feeding and a bit of nausea. Do you have any other symptoms?

    That's right, I feel for you! 3 kids now twins!
    You do hear from people who test positive later on, so let's wait and see. But I've also had my period with old blood (brown) before :$

    Hi Lizzy,
    Last Monday I also had a little bit of brown discharge. Not much at all. I was supposed to get my period today normally, but I decided to test anyway (even though I had no symptoms) with a sensitive pregnancy test. I saw a very faint line. I tested again just now and it was a bit clearer this time, so I think there's definitely still hope for you too :-).
    I tested my first pregnancy only 4 days after ovulation and it was positive!!
    Did you test with morning urine? If not, definitely test again tomorrow (or the day after).

    I'm rooting for you!!

    Not anymore today, I had some discomfort for 2 days. But last night I did a 'tampon test'. Totally not scientifically reliable or whatever . Put the tampon in, let it sit for a bit and then see if there's anything on it?! Sorry for the graphic language. With me, the tampon stayed white last night. So I tested this morning and it was positive.
    In my first pregnancy, I had no discharge/blood, but I only tested positive after 4 days.

    Never heard of that, hehe, good to know But for me, it's not clean, it's mucus, because I've got quite a lot of mucus right now. Or does it not count anymore if you're further along in your pregnancy?

    Oh wait, I read that it's about blood. Did you guys also hear about the floating sugar thing? Pour sugar into your cold urine and if it floats, you're pregnant

    Exciting, Lizzy. I also tested twice, 4 days after the positive nod. No bleeding or brown discharge, but that's harmless, I think, as long as it's just a little bit.

    Not sure if it's supposed to go in the fridge, but with warm urine it'll melt right away, of course. I'll try to remember to catch it. It's a twin pregnancy, so there should still be plenty of hCG!
