I'm looking for a special name. A name that stands out but also has a soft and beautiful meaning. I'm open to more suggestions.

Those are both girl and boy names, right? I voted for Skylar, but I don't find any of the others ugly. Otherwise maybe: Venus, Scarlett, Carmen, Summer, Juno, Celia/Cilia, Anaïs, Ember, Victoria, Farahilde, Eleanor, Lumen, Mykelti, Phoebe, Amarens, Maeve, Winona. And for boys: Merlijn, Indigo, Espen, Clemens, Arthur, Midas, Elliott, Simeon, Rune, Faber, Isaiah (pronounced in English), Elijah, Joshua, Achilles, Rufus, Angus, Nathanaël, Zacharia.

I don't find Laura particularly special, and I don't like the spelling of Feliks.
Favorite for a boy: Caleb. For girls, I think Eowyn and Skylar are really beautiful.

    Hi Kyara,
I’d go for Caleb or Laura myself. Xenia reminds me of that villain from James Bond with those strong thighs. Skylar, Eowyn, and Caleb are, I think, characters from Lord of the Rings, and Feliks reminds me of that bird from Harry Potter, only with his name misspelled.
But maybe you don’t have those associations, in which case I’d say: follow your heart and don’t let anyone tell you what you should or shouldn’t do!! Good luck and enjoy your baby!

    Dear Kyara,

Have you also considered the name Zlatan? Scandinavian, yet exotic!

    Follow your heart,
    Mr. de Boer

I don't really find Xenia to sound "soft". I find it a difficult choice. Anaïs (mentioned above) sounds nice to me, and a friend of mine named her child Salada, which I also found soft, but both names do sound like parts of dinner now that I think about it while reading this.

How do you pronounce Eowyn E. Caleb?
