Ovulation

Hi ladies. We've been trying for baby #3 since Aug 17. Unfortunately had a miscarriage in September at 4 weeks and 3 days. Got my period 25 days later. According to my cycle, I should be in my fertile window now and about to ovulate. I went to the gyn last Wednesday for a check-up after the miscarriage and she said everything looked good. No clots, the lining was 6mm and in the proliferative phase, she said, and had a nice three-layer appearance. She also saw that ovulation was coming. She didn't think the lining was too thin, even though I told her I expected to ovulate the next day or the day after. She said it could be fine and that it looked good. However, I still don't have any fertile mucus and haven't gotten a positive OPK test yet. I started testing on Tuesday, once a day. What do you guys think, is my ovulation still coming? That would mean it's much later this month. Or did my egg just not release? And do I not ovulate at all? It's become quite a long story, sorry. Hopefully I'll get some replies.

I don't know if I can help you, but I had a similar experience. I also started using ovulation tests, and at the midwife's office on Oct 2nd, they said that ovulation would come during that week, around Oct 5th or 6th, based on my own calculations. But on Wednesday, my tests were like so I thought, oh well, I'll see what happens. I also didn't have any fertile mucus, which I normally always did. Weird body, haha. And now I'm 5+2 weeks pregnant . I tested positive right away, I still don't understand it at all . I did have sex during the fertile week though, no fertile mucus, but on the ultrasound they could see a nice thickened uterine lining.
Hope my story helps you a bit.
    Greetings

Thanks for your reply. That's super! Congratulations!
So you got pregnant right after the gynecologist visit, right? And yet you had negative OPK tests?
That's exactly what I'm experiencing now. It's driving me crazy. My gynecologist could also clearly see thickened cervical mucus and that an egg was about to burst. Was that the case for you too? Also no fertile mucus.
How long did you keep doing OPK tests? Did they stay negative?

Thanks so much! Yeah, you're right, I kept testing until Wednesday. On Monday I went to the midwife, and the line was visible but not super dark, you know. It must have happened that week because my expected period date would have been October 19th, based on September 21st being the first day of my last period. But the test was already positive on October 14th. I don't want to give false hope, right? But I really couldn't find any fertile mucus. Haha. After that, I had a really bloated stomach and some sharp pains. I even got weird sensations like a "salami test," as if my period was coming early , and heartburn. I thought, "Better just do a test," without expecting anything, since I was way past my expected date. But still, I saw clear lines on my photos. I went straight to the midwife on November 2nd to see if I was definitely pregnant, but they only saw a thickened uterine lining. But well, it matched the calculation, and I was only about 3 weeks pregnant. The tests were fading nicely. I had to come back in 3 weeks, on November 7th. Still quite suspenseful!

Really nice little outfit and your tests are looking good.
Yeah, it's still exciting. Especially the first ultrasound. But also super fun.
Have you been trying for a long time?
For us, this is now the second round of the month counting miscarriages.

Well, we were busy for a long time before this. After 1.5 years of curettage and 3 miscarriages, pffff, we're finally pregnant with our first baby together. We decided to go for it again while on vacation, for our second child. I already have a son who's 12 , and now I'm pregnant again after having the IUD removed. And for you? First baby?

Oh, that's so sad that you've had miscarriages It's absolutely awful.
It's great that everything turned out okay in the end.
We have 2 kids at home. One is 15 from my previous relationship and one is 16 months old, ours together. Now we'd really like to have another one. Seems super nice for the little one and for us too, of course.
Well, let's see how long it'll take. After the miscarriage, I've completely lost trust in my body. Never had that before. But we'll see.

Yeah, I totally get it. All those uncertainties, they kept seeing a little spot on the ultrasound, thinking it was blood. I’d already calculated that back half a year . We were about to go through the medical mill, and the day we went to the gynecologist, a mucus plug came out—a 2 cm plug or so. So she checked the ultrasound, and the spot was gone! Thank goodness. But looking back, I wish I’d dug deeper into that spot, because once it was gone, I got pregnant the same month. Crazy, right? You also have an older son and a little one. Funny, yeah, we also thought it’d be nice for the youngest to have a playmate . Hope you get pregnant quickly .

Oh my goodness. Well, luckily it came out in the end.
When I was at the OB-GYN last Wednesday, she said there was nothing left now, no clots, nothing.
Our oldest is a girl hehe and the youngest too. My husband is the only man in the house .
It's so hard waiting every month pff. I'm also feeling all sorts of things which I didn't feel according to my midwife. I'm so scared it won't work out or something like that.
Is everything going well with your pregnancy? No complaints?
