Nour? (rhymes with "hoer")

An old colleague of mine is named Nouria. I found it really unique and feminine. And it doesn't rhyme with "hoer"

I think Nour is a nice name. I only know a boy with that name (but for you, it would be for a girl)?
I had never really thought about names rhyming with "whore"... there are probably more names that rhyme with something ugly... But I understand (especially for a girl) your concern.
I also think Liv is beautiful (and more in the style of Nour), the rest actually feels like a completely different style...

There are more names that rhyme with something somewhere. Puck and Mex, for example.
So you give the child a different name out of caution, and then they come up with something else. Because if they want to shout something, they'll shout it anyway.
I'd say just go with Nour.

I think Nour is a really beautiful name and wouldn't immediately think of "hoer" (whore) because it's spelled differently.

My niece is called Loes (same age as me), and there's plenty of rhymes you can come up with for that too. We talked about it, and she doesn't find it too annoying. She can easily ignore it. There will always be people who find it funny to make up rhymes, even for Nour. But I still think it's a lovely name!
