2 tests, 2 different results?

Hi everyone,

I've known for a bit over a year that I have PCOS. Because of this, my cycle was very irregular, but lately it's been around 35 days. I find it hard to test for ovulation and haven't been able to figure it out yet (maybe I'll start tracking my temperature). My period is due next Monday. Since I've been having some vague period symptoms (cramps, back pain, mild acne) and my bowels have been acting up too, I thought, "I'll just try a test!"

Yesterday I tried the Action early test. After 5 minutes, there was a very faint line. I was 5 days before my period at that point. The faint line gave me hope, though. By the way, when I looked at the test in the trash later that evening, the line had actually gotten a bit darker.

This morning I tried two tests. The Action early test (same as yesterday) stayed very faint. The Kruidvat test (2 days before expected period) became a bit clearer. Today is about 4 days before my expected period.

What do you all think? I don't want to give myself false hope. Especially the fact that I have period cramps (but no bleeding) feels a bit scary....

    Clear! Looks very positive! And it seems like the clarity is also improving. I was also holding a test in my hands yesterday, still can't believe it. Those stomach cramps are apparently normal. Your uterus is in motion, and due to the hormones, your intestines are a bit off too. It's obviously still quite early, but it looks good! I started a group with ladies who are cautiously hoping they're due in July. I'll reply so it pops up a bit again. Congrats, girl! We're about on the same track!

    Ughhh, I find it so hard to believe. Like some kind of self-protection or something.
    Mama-An, can you send me a message about that group? I'm still pretty new here so I don't know how to find everything yet hehe.
    Do you have any idea when the line should become clearer? I'm considering calling the doctor on Monday (if I haven't gotten my period yet) for a blood test or something... I'm really looking for confirmation, huh? Hahaha

    Congratulations! Your line is already really clear now Normally, hCG doubles every two days, so you could test again the day after tomorrow if you want.

    Nice clear tests, I'd be shouting from the rooftops with a test like that. I'd only trust it if I had a blood test, in my opinion it's really unnecessary. Enjoy your Sunday doing a test for your own peace of mind and then you'll see that it's become darker. As for the early tests from Action, I personally think they're not really early tests, the instructions also clearly state that you can only use them from the day of your expected period. So I don't buy them anymore, it's a waste of my extra euro. CONGRATULATIONS girl, enjoy it.

    Clear enough! I also had vague tests this week, but I'm really pregnant! And yes, the stomach cramps are normal. Congratulations!

    Ooo woww, that's so nice hahaha! I've set myself a kind of limit hahaa. I'm doing another test on Sunday and if it's still not clear, I'll get my blood drawn on Monday to be sure. If I haven't gotten my period by then, fingers crossed!!!

    Those two from Action were early tests... but they didn't turn out as positive as the ones from Kruidvat. I might still try one of those Clear Blue ones, but they're pretty expensive, so I'll wait until I really miss my period this weekend...

    Wow... I'm just pregnant haha!

    Heyhey, I did a test yesterday and there was a faint line, and today I did another one but nothing showed up. So am I actually pregnant or not? What do you all think?
