@Cheyenna,
I think you should first look around in your own circle for people who can help you out. Do you have anyone around you? What about the baby's father?
What's your age? Do you have a job or not?
What do you want for your future?
These are all questions you need to figure out for yourself first.

You could go to social services, but first check what you can do on your own.
You could also talk to your housing association.
First see what you can solve yourself because eventually you'll have to deal with it all anyway, with or without a partner.
A baby is a big responsibility, right?

Good luck and I hope you find the tips helpful.
Feel free to ask questions and let me know how things are going and whether you've found new living space and how.

Cheers Ju

@ju, thanks for your reply ...
I'm 25, have a relationship with the baby's dad and things are good! We live together, the dad works a lot, nothing wrong with that really..
It's just that everything feels like too much lately, so I'm a bit stressed, and I'm looking for some distraction and tips here..

I work in facilities as a casual worker, mainly on weekends. I was about to start a course again in September... but that didn't happen. Because I've decided not to start the course now... because I'm becoming a mom, and it's a big responsibility. And I think it's important to have all the time for the baby once he/she is here...

But you're right, I should maybe look around our area first to see what options are available...

The housing association I currently rent from can't give me priority or anything like that (unfortunately)... I've already found that out..

    Love,

    Hi Cheyenna,
First of all, congratulations on your pregnancy! I was wondering if you've managed to resolve the issue by now, because I have the same problem and live in a youth housing unit where I signed a contract stating that no children are allowed to live there. I'm also wondering if I risk being evicted from my apartment and how the housing association deals with this?
I hope someone can answer my questions.
    Greetings,
    Selena

    Hi Selena,

Congratulations to you too on your pregnancy!!

It's not easy finding other accommodation. I asked housing associations for help, but they all referred me to WoningNet, where all housing associations offer their homes weekly. Unfortunately, I don't have enough points to qualify for a house. Since you can no longer get priority status for pregnancy, it doesn't make sense for me to try through the commission either. Now that things are finally improving a bit for personal reasons, I'm going to ask for help from social services next week. I heard from friends that they can also help through there. So we'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out. After all, raising a baby in a youth housing complex isn't a solution...

But everything is going very slowly for me... Maybe they can do more for you in your area. Especially since you mentioned you signed a contract stating no children are allowed to live there. Maybe they can help you with a different house then.

    Good luck anyway..

    Best wishes, Cheyenna

Thank you so much for your reply, Cheyenna. I hope you'll manage to find a place soon. Are there any other people reading this who have experience with this or can offer tips and advice?

I also have a question. I’ve now been offered a youth housing unit because that was the only thing I could respond to on WoningNet, but I’m already 8 months pregnant. What should I actually do now? Should I decline it?

You can register with the GGD network, and then you might get placed in a teen mom house or emergency shelter.

    Hi,
I really need help. Because I'm 5 months pregnant. And I have 1 living room and 1 bedroom. How can my baby have their own bedroom?
That's why I'm looking for another house for me and my baby.. please help me
