What do you think?

sannn26
Oct 23 my period, tested on Friday and saw this.
I thought it was on the lighter side. Compared to an ovulation test that now shows 2 thick lines...

Will test again with CB tomorrow or Monday. Curious if there are more who tested for their period and ended up pregnant.
I have no symptoms, just heartburn and occasional nausea.

I say congratulations! It's still early, but I do think this is a pretty clear sign!

Wow, that's pretty clear indeed! Exciting stuff. Congratulations.

So cute! Congratulations on your pregnancy. Just took a test and the line is clearly visible... it's really like that.

Yesss sann26, indeed it really is like that. Congratulations! Enjoy it.

Tomorrow is my period day, and I've got brown discharge... just a tiny bit.
Maybe I tested too early .... panic is setting in. But I'm trying to keep my head cool. Once you've seen two lines on a test, you can't stay cool anymore.

Tested again today and the test was very clear. If you start to believe in it, you'll get it. Phew

But I think it could also just be some old blood from implantation. Your test is pretty positive. Seems unlikely that you're really going to get your period. And sometimes you can just lose a bit of blood around your expected period. As long as it's not too much. But I understand your worries. Very relatable.

I’d also guess it’s an implantation bleed since your tests were clearly positive. You really read a lot of stories here on the forum (old and new) about bright red bleeding in the first weeks of pregnancy while everything’s fine with the baby. Don’t lose hope!
Maybe it’ll reassure you to get a blood test tomorrow or do a digital hCG test?

    Hi Clautjuh,

That could totally be possible, I hadn't thought about it. I'm really a layperson here. And it's my first time. I didn't know it was around the time of your MS.
It's so minimal, so it could just be.

    Thanks for your message.

    Love,

    Hi Rosa,

Yeah, silly, right . Yeah, the positive tests were confusing too. It's indeed minimal, so you could very well be right. Yeah, you read so much, I honestly didn't look it up because then I might just stress myself out over nothing.

I'm really glad to hear from you.

    Love,

Oh yeah, and I'm definitely going to do a little more CB. And I'll get more negative reactions again... like negative test results.

And can I already go to the HA from this week?
  13. Rosa #14

Yeah, sure. Just call your GP first thing tomorrow morning and let them know you're a bit worried about the bleeding. You should be able to get a blood test done, and with a bit of luck, you'll have results the same day.

Oh great. I'll take a look at it for a moment, and then I'll definitely make an appointment. And of course, I'll test it with CB one more time.

    Thank you so much!

Yes, we can't look inside your body unfortunately! But since your tests are so positive, I wouldn't stress too much. You can definitely keep testing for a while and of course wait for your period. By the way, I had a huge bleed at 7 weeks with my oldest. A day later I got an ultrasound and we saw a beautiful little heart beating. And that child is now 14 years old. Good luck!

Yeah, I get it. That’s just me. Yeah, I don’t have any blood. But tomorrow I’ll take another test and see how it goes. And if not, I’ll go to the doctor.

But I hadn’t taken your theory into account. So I think it’ll be okay. Nice to hear about your oldest.

    Thank you!

I find it so ridiculous what's being said here. So because your tests are so positive, you won't get your period?
    1. You tested early, before you NEEDED to test; this is always discouraged.
    2. The fact that it started with brown blood doesn't mean it's possible it's from implantation. An early miscarriage can also start with brown blood.
It would be more considerate to address the topic starter if this was mentioned, instead of this vague "it'll probably be fine" stuff.
Who knows, it might turn out fine. But that just points to time.

I also don’t get why people rush to the doctor right away.

So anonymous, I hope you feel a lot better now that you've spat out your bitter bile here? Are you always such a nasty person, or did you forget to take your pill?
