Which of the three?

Jacoba78Guest ·
In our search for a nice name for our future son, we've narrowed it down to three (similar) names.
We'd love to hear your opinions/concerns/associations for each name and which one you think is the prettiest.

1. R.ies
2. M.orris
3. F.erris

Obviously, the names would be written without the dots; I'm doing this now so they don't show up in Google results.
So please include a dot in your response or just mention the number, e.g., "With 1., I have the association...".

Thank you so much!!!

How can I edit something in my previous post?

    I think R.ies is very old-fashioned, I wouldn't choose that for sure.
F.erris I don't know yet, but I do like how it sounds.

M.orris I find very cool and nice, I'd definitely go for that!
And otherwise F.erris as a second choice

    M orris

I’d also go for M. Morris
  6. Debby Guest #7

Ries is old-fashioned, Reese is nice.
Ferries and Morris are both nice.

    Morris

I think Ries is nice. You don't hear it that often (and well, Richard would also be shortened to Ries/Rich).

I don't like Morris at all.
Ferris... it's a bit quirky, if you like that.

R.ies feels very old-fashioned to me, and apart from that, I don’t think it’s really handsome either.
F.erris, I’ve never heard of. Sounds nice though! What do you think of F.erron? Just an idea, I really like it!
M.orris also sounds pretty nice to me.
  10. Kiki Guest #11

I like Morris the most. Ries is fine, a bit retro.
Ferris wheel is English for a giant wheel, so I wouldn't go for that. More like Ferre, Fender, or Ferron.

Morrison is a bit overdone.. there have been 3 of them born recently! (Maybe a hype?)

    I'd go with F!

M.orris is a bit overused.. there have been 3 born here lately! (Maybe it's a trend?)

    I'd go for F!

    Hi Anouk,
can I ask where "here" is? NL or Belgium?
Some names also occur often in the same "area" (because people hear about them from each other). Or is it about a very diverse and spread-out audience?
    F. is definitely more unique, I know that, I know 2 M.'s myself (not newborns) and no F.
Thanks in advance for your input!

I like Morris the best. Ries is fine, a bit retro.
Ferris wheel is English for big wheel, so I wouldn't go for that. Rather Ferre, Fender or Ferron.

    Thanks for your input!
We're aware of the F. association, but we don't mind it (we live in a Dutch-speaking country and it's not a negative word or anything).
Maybe it's strange, but I don't find Ferre and Ferron that beautiful at all, despite only a 2-letter difference... Fender, on the other hand, reminds me too much of a guitar.
Opinions on names are so subjective, aren't they

I also think M.orris is quite nice.

I find F.erron less handsome than F.erris, but thanks for the input
