Hi, I have a question. I had my IUD removed on 29-8-2012. How quickly can I get pregnant after that? That's my question. Thanks in advance

    Hi Jessica,

In principle, you're fertile again as soon as the IUD is out because no hormones need to leave your body. I was 3 months pregnant , but no one can really answer your question. Every body is different, so the timeline/chance of getting pregnant varies. I think it's important not to fixate on an absolute deadline and just enjoy the BMS

    Have fun and good luck!

My IUD came out in early August.
I don't really believe you're fertile right away, since I had very light bleeding after a few days.. Like it was being held back or something.
It's been 30 days since that first half-day of bleeding and now it's just coming out in full force.
Severe stomach pain and cramps too, but honestly, I was kind of waiting for this.
Let's just hope we get pregnant soon!
Are you going for the first one, by the way??

I asked my GP before getting the IUD inserted whether I’d need to “pill” after removal (I don’t know how else to say it). He said that with an IUD it doesn’t work that way and you’re fertile right away. But maybe my doctor was wrong. Besides, every body is different. The most important thing is that our wish comes true, and as soon as possible
