Which ovulation test

Which ovulation tests do you use? And when do you start testing?
I want to take the risk to see if it roughly matches the app when I have my ovulation and then take it .

I used the Sensitest one last month, first round. Starting from day 11.

The one from Action. After getting a positive test, I was pregnant.
  3. Wensje2 #4

I was very positive with the tests from Sensitest!
    Good luck!

I also used apps, and none of them were accurate at all, both the paid and free ones.
I personally use the ovulation tests from Action, and I've now also used the early and regular pregnancy tests... and two stripes.
But well, I'll wait for my period to come (Oct 23).
    Good luck with your choice????

Sannn26, that's what I thought too. Those apps don't work at all. I've got the one from Action now!

    Hey ladies..
I'm also hesitating between the ones from Action and Sensitest. The Action ones are indeed cheap but there are negative stories about them. Which Sensitest do you use?
Then I have another question about when I should start testing. Maybe you can help me.
I've had 2 cycles of 36 days. On November 18th (last Wednesday) my period started (yesterday was the last day).
November 23rd is my expected date.
Calendar app says that my fertility starts increasing from November 4th, with a peak on November 7th and 8th. Now my ovulation could also happen earlier (last month I did 3 ovulation tests with 16, 15 and 14 days before ovulation but they were negative). When would you start using ovulation tests? I'm thinking of starting next Wednesday or so (week after the start of the last period).

I definitely recommend the sensitivity test!
I also had longer cycles and usually started testing on day 14. If the test was almost still white, I wouldn’t test the next day but wait until day 16 again. The tests always became very clear for me! I test once a day, usually around 4 PM. There’s also a photo of the sensitive ovulation tests on my page.
    Good luck, girls!

    Hi girls,

My cycle is 28 days. And I always start ovulating a week after my period ends. I've always used Action brand and never anything else. Tried 2 months of Action, and now I'm pregnant.
They're cheap and I had my doubts too. But I got totally down from the app. Every month another disappointment, so I switched to ovulation tests. Just for fun I kept using the app too and tested, but it was negative.

This month I finally gave up on the app, and I'm pregnant for the first time.

It varies of course for everyone, but I'd give it a try for that price. If it doesn't work, you can switch to another brand. For the money, I wouldn't skip it.

    Good luck ladies,

And I hope for you all a positive test very soon.

    Love,

As long as those tests work, I'm fine with it. Do a pregnancy test first thing tomorrow morning just to be sure, my period was so weird. If it's negative, I'll start doing ovulation tests from Wednesday (the week after my first period day). Hopefully nothing goes wrong with my fertile days and then just hope for a clear positive test around my due date.

Would it be useful to do the ovulation tests at 8 pm? My urine would be in my bladder then and I'd have all the time.
  10. sannn26 #11

    Hi Esje,
I had that too, whether it's €10 or €2.50, as long as the €2.50 one does its job, I'm fine with it .
Yeah, I've done that sometimes too, testing later in the evening, and that's totally fine.
I tried to stick to fixed times, but I don't know if it matters whether you test at varying times.

Lots of luck with the pregnancy test, thumbs up for you. Share how it went.

    Love,

My app is also always off by a few days: 2 days in the first month, and 4 days this month.
I use the one from Action and the one from 2besure. Both are very affordable.

Hi hi, that's me again. Well, the pregnancy test was negative (as expected), so I went to Action yesterday and bought ovulation tests (hihi, got 3 boxes right away, they're so cheap).
Thanks, lovely ladies, for your tips. I'm going to start testing tonight at 8 PM. Seems like the most convenient time since I can always test at the same time then.
And Anne and Aapie, by starting early I hope not to miss my fertile days and can see if the lines are getting stronger.

How are you all doing? Have you been trying for a while to get pregnant? Would love to hear your stories!

    Love, Es

    Exciting @Esje.
I'm starting tomorrow too (week after 1st missed period), thinking I'll do it in the morning, right before I head to work.
Last month I was 7 days late, so now I want to know how my cycle is doing again.
I also have 3 boxes from the Action, hoping to get a bit wiser!

    Hi hi,

I know that feeling, it's a bummer. But now get cracking with the ovulation tests! Yes, it's totally fine if you can manage that time. And make it cozy .

So exciting, good luck and I'll go film for you again.

    Love,

    Hi hi,

Better, right? Get started with those ovulation tests. You'll get the hang of it naturally. At some point, it'll just click.

It'll all work out, good luck!
    Rooting for you!

Funny MilkChocolate that I'm now also going to test with the same tests. Hopefully we'll know more soon and it'll be positive quickly!
In the leaflet of the test it says that you shouldn't test with your first morning urine and preferably at the same time. I work 3 days and don't want to test at work. That's why I choose the evening when the kids are in bed. I do have to remember to not drink anything from 5 PM and to urinate for the last time around 3 PM. The urine is then well concentrated.
Today unfortunately didn't think about it, did test anyway. Wrote the correct date and time on it.
Last time only tested on my fertile days (according to the calculation of an ovulation of 14 days before my period; cycle 36 days) but then didn't pick up anything. So my egg was either earlier or later. Hahaha this time I MUST be able to find it.

Hihi we are good customers of Actiin!

Sann, are you already pregnant or still trying?

    Xxx
  17. sannn26 #18

Yes, I'm pregnant. Tested positive with Action 3 days before my expected period. Tested again on Sunday. And on Monday (Oct 23, the day of my expected period) tested with Clearblue. About 2-3 weeks pregnant. First ultrasound on Nov 15.

  18. Mama-An #19

I used the Clearblue one during my first pregnancy. Got pregnant right after a positive ovulation test. So, highly recommend it!

Nice to read this! I want to try ovulation tests too.
