Help!? When to start Clomid?

I got my period yesterday, so I should start Clomid on day 3 of my cycle for the first IUI. But now I'm wondering if yesterday was day 1 or today?
It was bright red blood, not brown (I never have it start with brown anyway). Even when wiping, it wasn't like today... I'm really flowing heavily right now (sorry for the details
)
What do you all think? Should I start Clomid tomorrow or Monday?
