Hi everyone! I've been trying to conceive for my third baby for a year now. I've had two miscarriages and one ectopic pregnancy. For the past 9 months, I've always had a 28-day cycle, and I usually get brown discharge 3 days before my period starts. But this time, I don't have that. Today is my expected period day, and there's still nothing. I took a Kruidvat test (2v5) this morning, but it was negative. It's been 5 years since my daughter was born, so I don't remember exactly how many days before my period I tested positive back then. My question is: does this happen more often after your expected period date? Thanks!

Yeah, testing after you've missed your period is more reliable because if you're pregnant, there are more hormones present. Before your missed period, a home pregnancy test can give a false negative, making you think you're not pregnant when you actually are.
