Xavi (first name) or Léon (second name)

We're looking for a fitting middle name for Xavi.
We really like the name Léon, but it gives the initials X.L.

The future dad is 2 meters tall, so there's a good chance our son will grow up to be above average height.

How much of a problem do you think the initial combination X.L. (associated with 'extra large' is?

Do you have any suggestions for a middle name?
Preferably 3 syllables and flowing nicely with Xavi.

My husband and I disagree on this, which is why I'm asking here.

Please, tell me: is the initials combo X.L. bothersome? I urgently need advice!
A short 'yes' or 'no' is enough!

It doesn't seem like a problem at all to me. Argument: kids might tease each other with names, but did you know someone's middle name or initials when you were young? I didn't. I don't think they do anything with initials in elementary school, and friends don't really care much about them at that age. I'd rather advise against a strange name or one that rhymes with something weird.
By the way, I think Xavi is a really nice name.
You also asked for a suggestion for another middle name: Dion, to keep a bit of the sound of Leon. (the dash on the e doesn't work on this computer)
    Hopefully this helps, good luck!

    Indy, thanks for your reply.
Indeed, people often don’t even know the second name, but initials do regularly appear on mailings and such. That’s why.

I think Xavi is a really nice name. Definitely a keeper.
I don't really see a problem with that X-L sound. I agree with Indy.

I'm seeing this for the first time and I think Xavi is the prettiest, not Leon.

Xavi is original! I don't think XL is a problem either. Unless it also sounds distinct when combined with the last name...
    Good luck!

Sorry, the previous post was from me...

Xavi is really beautiful, it's definitely on my list of favorite boy names! And I think the combination Xavi Léon fits together super well! X.L. as initials might look funny for the postman, but that's about it. They don't use those initials in primary school anyway! It's actually quite funny, especially if you also expect your son to grow quite tall. I can see the humor in that! It only becomes problematic if you get initials like W.C. or S.S. or something... Just go for it!!!!

I see a typo haha. In the first sentence it should be: is ALSO (not on) definitely on my list.....

    Thanks for your replies.
After much deliberation, we've decided not to do it after all, for the following reason:
If Xavi turns out to be a tall boy, it's indeed quite funny. But what if he gains weight? Then it's less fun.
We're playing it safe, and have found a second name that starts with an A, which is likely. That's probably what we'll go with. We'll save the name Léon for a potential next little one.

I’d probably have a problem with it. Personally, I take into account possible abbreviations, rhymes, and also the initials. For me, that’s a reason not to choose a name.
Eventually, someone will probably notice it, I think...
Sorry, but that’s my honest opinion.

    Greetings
