When does the test turn positive after ovulation?

Hi!
I thought my ovulation test was positive yesterday, both lines were purple. So we had some fun.
Tested again now and this time the test line is really bright purple and darker than the other line. So I assume my ovulation will happen within the next 24 hours.
What's the best timing? Since we already did it yesterday. Should we do it again tonight? Or tomorrow?
Is it true that if we do it tonight, the sperm quality is lower?
What would you do?
Looking forward to (quick) replies

I was wondering about that too. Some sites say it doesn't matter. Others say every other day because of sperm quality.
You had sex yesterday with a positive ovulation test today. With ovulation happening within 24h.
I'm just following along. It seems like you can easily miss the window when trying for a baby. And it does affect sperm quality.

I took a test twice. The first month it didn’t work, and in the second month, I was 3 days before my period and the test was positive. On the day itself, it worked!

It's best to have sex on the day of your ovulation test and the day after!

That thing about sperm quality, you should look at it like this: imagine your husband hasn't had an ejaculation for 3-4 days (not even longer!), then the amount/quality is, say, 100. After ejaculation, it immediately drops to 30. The day after ejaculation, it's, say, 60 again. That's not as good as 100, but better than having nothing if you miss timing the 100 perfectly and you have nothing!

When did you have sex, yesterday or now?

Thanks for the explanation. I'm afraid my chance is gone. Just got home from work and we're doing it via self-insemination. But everything went wrong right away
By the way, I have really bad ovulation pain. Usually always on the left. Now on the right. It's already less but still, oof.

Hi, it's better to lie with your legs up and a pillow under your bottom. A lot of s6 xxx

Hi dear Jo, that's so frustrating! How did it come out?

Hi Merel, so nice to read your message! I really have no idea what went wrong. I had a cushion under me, etc. It can make me feel so insecure.
My ovulation pain is over now too, so I think my egg has ruptured..
Are you also trying for a baby, or are you blessed with a child?

It took a bit longer for me too. It looks like a lot, but I don't think it is.

Hi sweetie! I don't think it's a big deal if things take a while to come out; that's always been the case for me too, and yet I ended up with a beautiful little girl in my arms!! Now we're looking forward to a second one! Hope you find your happiness soon too, because that's what it's all about, girls!

It's completely normal that some come out again; those are the weaker sperm, but the stronger ones have already moved on. It might look like a lot that came out, but there's still a lot left inside, okay? xxxxx

That's so true! I got pregnant from sex under the shower, and you'd think not much would stay behind! ????
