Thick uterine lining/no period

Hi everyone,

I have a question: After stopping the pill, I waited about 45 days for my first period. My second cycle was already 38 days, and now I'm on day 39 again. The ovulation tests aren't helping me figure it out because I always got a positive test on day 14.

Two pregnancy tests later, both negative. Haven't tested for 4 days now. I also don't feel pregnant at all.

I happened to visit my gynecologist for my annual check-up a week ago, and she said my uterine lining is quite thick (so I thought that was a good sign). But shouldn't that mean my period comes a bit later?

I know I shouldn't expect a regular cycle too quickly, but now I'm really doubting my ovulation and whether I'm even ovulating at all. It feels like my cycle is throwing a wrench in the works, and I just can't fully focus on trying for a baby.
