PMS complaints, no need for hope?

Hi!
We’re now in round 12 for our first baby, and every time, strange symptoms start popping up about a week before the expected date. Mostly muscle pain in my legs, but also sharp twinges in my belly (or a bit of period-like cramping), fatigue, irritability, and sometimes a little nausea.
In the first months, I used to get super excited about every symptom I noticed, but now my hope starts to drop a week before the expected date when I start getting these weird symptoms again.
But could implantation still happen between now and the expected date? Or does your body already know it didn’t work out again, and then those PMS-like symptoms kick in?
Does anyone else relate to this? And did it feel different when you were actually pregnant? I’m curious to hear your stories!
