Luíz, Lewis, or Matz

Spelling of the name. We'd prefer it written as Luíz, but wouldn't that make it too hard for our baby? Will he have to spell his name everywhere all the time? What do you all think?

I think Lewis looks better than Luíz, and I indeed think Luíz will cause spelling issues. Besides that, kids might think it says 'luis'. -

Exactly what Agnes says... I think Lewis is really nice! Mats is also nice (but with an s at the end) -

Luíz will probably need explaining. But you'll have to do the same with Matz, since most people will write it with an S.
And Lewis will probably also need spelling out, it's not a common name either.
And if you do have to spell all 3 anyway, I'd just stick with your first choice.
