Aimee sounds more elegant... and is just a bit different! Pronunciation won't be that big of a deal, I promise! We have a Celine and a Stéphanie, and people used to say Céline and Stephanie, but it doesn't matter... when they're older and introduce themselves, people will naturally pick up the correct pronunciation! Now it's hardly ever pronounced wrong :-) And then a boy's name; that's also our biggest problem! I read somewhere that there are 4000 girl names versus 1000 boy names, so it's logical that there's less choice! A combination of your names seems pretty difficult to me.... can't you incorporate one name into a nickname and the other into a second/baptismal name? Spreading them out a bit might be easier;-) Manuel is a beautiful name, by the way! It's just that we all have blonde kids and are blonde ourselves, and such a name has a bit of a Spanish sound and fits a dark-haired person better.. (but maybe I only know that name from that EO presenter; Manuel Vanderbos... and he's dark-haired haha) Good luck!!

We have Emma as our top choice if it's a girl. I'd really like Emma Lynn, but Martijn doesn't like two of the names and doesn't see the point.
For a boy, I've got Joris and Michiel... But Martijn thinks that's nothing.
So we're going to argue about that boy's name for a long time...

Beautiful names! What I also think is lovely for a girl is Emmy—you don't hear that one as often either.

We're expecting a little boy, and our son will be named Ay'denn.
