If you're unsure, just take a little more time to think it over. I think you need to feel that "this is it" when choosing a name. I totally get that you're hesitating—it all feels so close to home, and a name is for life!!!
Personally, I think both names are lovely, and I don't think Indi is too childish for later on. I prefer Linde a bit more, but it's also quite sporty/tough-sounding!! But what I find beautiful, someone else might find awful, and vice versa. You could also wait until the birth and see your baby to decide which name fits your girl better at that moment.
Just keep both names in mind, and once you hold your daughter in your arms, you'll say: "This one fits her!!!!"
Good luck.

My personal preference would be Linde... good luck, it's tough at the last minute!

I'll go for Indi, but with a y, but how unbiased am I... hehe

    Love, Indy

I’d also go for Indy/Indi. I don’t think it’ll seem childish... It’s indeed a strong name. I find Linde a bit too sweet...
But do what feels right for you!

    Wow, this is indeed tough!!
    I think they’re both beautiful.
    Maybe look into the meanings??

My sister’s daughter is named India, and every time I hear it, I think,
    what a gorgeous name!!

Hmm, that would actually be a reason to go for Linde! I love names that don't appear much (preferably not at all) in your surroundings. Indi and India seem too similar to me, especially if someone in your immediate circle—friends or family—has that name. But yeah, it's very personal, indeed... I think Linde is really beautiful too! In terms of sweetness and strength, I don't think they're any worse than each other! They both have something sweet and something strong. So I definitely don't find Linde too sweet!

By the way, Katie's tip is really good: when you hold the baby in your arms, the first name that comes to mind is the right one!!!! Good luck!

Pick a completely different beautiful name!

    Ind (y)

I think Indi is also nicer, but you could also wait until your daughter is born. Maybe you'll know for sure once you see your little girl

I’d go with Linde combined with Timon.. I think they fit together better, honestly! Good luck with choosing, it’s not easy, is it!

I think Linde is nicer. Indi sounds a bit hippie-ish...

    Linde, beautiful name, or Lindy?
  12. Sylke Guest #13

I think Linde is such a lovely name!
But do what feels most beautiful to you, of course...

I think Timon and Linde are really beautiful! Much prettier than Timon and Indi. But it's your choice, so pick what you think looks best! Good luck!

I think Linde looks much better with Timon. Indi also feels a bit contrived.

The only Linde I know is a guy..
    Personally, I'd go for Indi.

    Linde!!!
When I think of Indi, I think of Indian. With Linde, I think of Linda and of a tree.
    Maybe a combo ; lindy/Lindsy.
    Or Linne..
But in the end, I’d go with Linde.

Both beautiful names. Linde fits well with Timon, I think. I know one Linde, and she's a tough woman, so definitely not too sweet or girly in my opinion!

My preference is for Indi. Timon and Indi also look really nice together.
