We're unsure about the spelling of the name. What do you think, Ceejay or Cj?

I'd say CJ, but I don't like either of them.

    I'm joining Mandy.

    CeeJay

Choice between those 2: CJ. But I find that quite hard-sounding.

Why not two names like Calvin James, Colin Jay, Cris Jon, that give the initials CJ and use that as a nickname?

The names are definitely not my taste either, but I would definitely go for Ceejay.

Definitely not my taste, but if I had to choose, I'd go with Ceejay. I don't think CJ is a name, it's just two letters. Is it for a girl or a boy? Good luck with choosing!

I don't really like those names at all. I'd go for Ceejay out of those two. Do you have any other options?
  8. Anonymous Guest #9

    It's for a girl.....
  9. Anonymous Guest #10

    girl!

I'm with Debby on this one! I'd also give two names and use CJ as a nickname.
That way, your child can always choose later whether to go by the first or second name.

Oh my, it's pretty clear that you all don't like them at all, huh..........
Fortunately, everyone around us gives their kids names like that.
We're just not into names like Annabella, Charlotte, Amalia, Julia, or any of those other elite-sounding names.
It would be weird if we did that because it doesn't fit in with our surroundings, let alone with us!
If you don't find the name pretty, then give other options instead of just saying one by one that you don't like the names at all.

I gave boy names in my example, now I see it's a girl.
    Maybe Casey Jill, Cailey Jo,
Charlie Jane, Caro Joan, Chanel June
and then as a nickname CJ?

Anonymous, if you think CJ/Ceejay is beautiful and it fits perfectly with you (and thus also with your baby), then you don't need to pay any attention to us. My kids have the most Dutch names you can imagine, and not everyone likes that either. So I'm happy to give you alternatives, but just follow your heart!

The first thing I thought when I read Ceejay was that it would be a boy's name. I find it a boy's name. For a girl, I don't think it works at all either way. If you had said Jacy (actually CJ reversed), I would have loved it right away (but not as JC).

If you think about it for a moment, you know that CJ is also a girl's name, e.g., CJ Parker (Baywatch), and a boy's name, e.g., CJ Ramone (who is actually Christopher Joseph). So it's a unisex name if you don't get that.........

Sorry, I accidentally hit enter already.
By the way, I'm not a fan of the name CJ either, but I think you should just give it to him if it fits you. As for the spelling, I'd go with CeeJay. That way she can always decide later if she wants to make it CJ if she likes it better that way.

If you think it's a nice name, you should definitely go for it! I love names like Krijn and Marie, and that's probably not your taste either .
