The stretch marks can't be avoided. Welcome to the land of myths.
Stretch marks occur when the skin stretches faster than the body can keep up.
With a lubricant, you keep the epidermis supple, while the skin layer underneath 'tears'. -

Hi!
I smear oil or cream from any brand. I don’t have stretch marks and I’m now 39 weeks. But I don’t think it’s possible to prevent them if you’re going to get them anyway. I know girls who smeared but still got stretch marks. Still, I’d recommend you do it anyway, just to pamper your skin, and it also helps with the itchiness.
