    Has anyone had experience with the NIP test?
    I had it done...and I'm super happy with the result. I just don't dare to tell everyone yet what it's going to be! The test is 99% reliable...anyone else's experiences?

    I'm currently waiting for it. In terms of gender, it's 100% reliable, you know! Will it be a girl???
    I'm doubting here... my gyn said it's a girl, but many people say the nub looks like it's a boy, so I'm unsure. Hopefully, we'll get a clear answer soon about the nub.

    I never heard the gender from the NIP test results...
    They never asked me if I wanted to know either.

    If all goes well, that’s done in Belgium, but not in the Netherlands. Congratulations on the baby girl!

    Yeah, I heard I'm Belgian, so I'm exported to Belgium. Why? Are they making it difficult maybe in NL?

    In NL they don't do that either. I'm Dutch but insured in Belgium, so I had it done there too.

    Well, I've scheduled an ultrasound now, and I think it might be just as fun to find out that way. I can also peek at the baby while I'm at it. Next Saturday is the day

    Hopefully... but I'm not sure if that's the case... That people have an abortion because of the rash or something... And that's why they don't do it in the Netherlands... Which is actually contradictory because in the Netherlands you can have an abortion up to a fairly advanced stage... But maybe the longer it's in your belly, the more you think about it, no idea.

    No, it really has to do with abortion. In the Netherlands, it's illegal to perform abortions based on sex.

    When NIPT was introduced, including sex determination, they saw abortion rates rise. The conclusion was that there are indeed people who terminate pregnancies because they would have preferred the other sex.

    That's why that information has now been removed from the results.
