    Name choice is of course very personal, but they're both not really my taste. If I had to choose, I'd go with Daniel :-)

    We’d like to name after someone, and both of these names could work well. It’s quite difficult, though, because there are plenty of other beautiful names out there.

    Daniël is indeed timeless. Dani is a bit more trendy and might go out of fashion in 10 years.
    So I'd go for Daniël.
