periods were more than a week early, now overdue

Hi there,

I'm really at a loss and would love to run this by you all.
I got my period in the second week of July, but then it came back again in the last week of July, so a good week early.
Normally, I always have PMS symptoms the week before (breast tenderness) and cramps in my lower abdomen during my period.
This time, when I got my period early, I didn't have any of those symptoms—neither before nor during.
Only afterwards. Since then, my breasts have been quite painful, and they still are today (August 28th). They are larger, sensitive, and I often feel sharp stabs in both breasts. For the past few days, I've also been having a weird feeling in my lower abdomen (like butterflies, but more nervous/anxious). I've been getting frequent burps for a week now (which I never normally do), and I've been feeling a bit emotional at times (though I am a bit of an emo person anyway ;-) ). My period still hasn't come. So this morning I took a test (not my first pee of the day), but it was negative. Does anyone here have the same experience as I do now? Were you pregnant then, or was it all in your head?

Just to add that we've been trying for a third baby for over three and a half years now, and in the past few years I've felt many things that turned out to be nothing. But this time it feels just a little different, and everything seems to be lasting much longer.
