Which do you like better? Our little girl is named Thirze.

    I think both names are really beautiful. I asked a friend for her opinion and she thought Sverre sounded a bit girly and Espen sounded a bit like a 'common name'. I'm starting to doubt now..

    I know an Esken, what do you think of it? Or what about Ferron? I think it's a really nice name!

    I think Espen is really beautiful, I definitely don't find it ordinary, it's a Norwegian name. I also like Sverre, but I think people won't immediately understand or know how to spell it. So I'd go for Espen.

    Espen is definitely not an ordinary name, no idea where your girlfriend gets that from!

    Tricky, I think Espen fits Thirze a bit better.

    I also think Espen is nicer. I also think that Sverre indeed sounds like people won't understand you, it sounds more like "verre"

    Thanks again for your replies! Brooke, I also think the name Svante is really nice! It was on our list too. We're now thinking of going with Espen
