Which name do you like better?

    True, the pronunciation is different. But I'm curious which name you guys like better. We're still hesitating, you know.

    I think Vigo sounds nicer.

    Viggo pronounced Viego is the original, a Scandinavian name. Common in Danish and Swedish. E.g., Viggo Mortensen (actor). I personally find that nicer.

    Ralph is right about the pronunciation. Viggo with that 'ie' does indeed sound a bit softer than Vigo. Personally, I find it quite a strong name, so it fits with that Scandinavian background. But yeah, I totally get why Marie is hesitating. It's hard to choose. I'm voting for Viggo, but I also see why Vigo is becoming more popular here.
