Good luck finding a surrogate! Hopefully, that cute girl in the photo will soon have a brother or sister. It seems pretty tough to find someone, but I really hope it works out for you.
I'm also trying to fulfill my desire for a child in a somewhat less conventional way. I've been trying to get pregnant with a gay couple for half a year. Hoping we'll have some luck soon.
I understand that such an arrangement isn't your preference since you already have a child entirely for yourselves through a surrogate. But who knows, it might still be an option if you can't find a surrogate. I think there are quite a few women who want to do a co-parenting arrangement.

Co as a parent could be an option,
but we don't think it's fair for our daughter.
She has no contact with her mother, and we don't want to cause any friction over that. -

Unfortunately, after meeting a nice woman and mother, her friend didn't feel so great about it, and so we're still searching.
