Very short luteal phase

Hi,

We've been trying to get pregnant since the beginning of this year. For this cycle, I decided to use ovulation tests because we're getting a bit impatient, and also because I had the feeling that we were missing my ovulation window (I felt like my ovulation was always about a week later than expected).

I started testing every morning from day 11 and didn't see a dark line until day 23. Because I got abdominal cramps and lower back pain specifically on Sunday (day 23), I took another test in the evening, and yes, a thick line! The next morning, the ovulation test was positive again.

My menstrual cycle is shortest at 27 days and longest at 30 days. According to the app that shows the average, I should be getting my period again this coming Thursday. So, was my ovulation (last Sunday) much too late? What's your experience with this?

Would love to hear from you!

That seems really short! Maybe test again next month? It could be! Are you feeling your egg or following the discharge?

I really felt the ovulation and the test confirmed it! And indeed, the discharge that comes with ovulation, so everything checks out except the timing...
Next month I'll keep tracking again if I get my period so early after ovulation as planned, but I'm also wondering if I should contact my GP for advice. I don't see many experiences from others...
