Period 5 days early??

Hi,
I got my period for the first time five days early, even though I always have a very regular cycle of 28/29 days. I was really surprised to suddenly have bleeding on cycle day 23 instead of on Friday! I am trying to get pregnant, but I tend to let it happen naturally, seeing whether and when it happens. Still, I find this strange and I'm curious if other ladies have experienced this too and what the cause was for you.
