Pregnant in education

Hi,
Are there any female teachers who are pregnant?
I’m pregnant for the first time and just started working as a teacher in secondary education. I was wondering how maternity leave works and stuff.
My due date is May 12th. I know you get 3 months off, but can you take that after the big holiday?

    Hi, for me it was like that a few years ago, I could actually just take it around the holiday. So I had vacation and on top of that maternity leave :-)

    Hi Jannie,
    Do you teach in Belgium? I think the leave counts during the holiday period.
    My due date is May 11th, so I'll take my leave just before Easter and then after. I don't think I'll be able to take weeks off in September. I'll ask a colleague subtly this week.
