Hi everyone,
I've been off the pill for a few years now, and we've been trying to get pregnant for 2 months.
This past weekend, I had a light, small dark brown bleeding. I'm not supposed to get my period for another week.
When I go to the bathroom, there's still a very light dark discharge coming out.
Does anyone recognize this?

Well, I can relate to that from all three of my pregnancies, but yeah, that might give you quite a bit of hope..
So it could be an implantation bleed.
Good luck with the waiting! Because it feels so long!

Ok, what do you recognize if I may ask?
It's more the uncertainty that's annoying right now.

I’ve had a lot of brown and even red bleeding starting from ovulation with all 3 of my kids. For me, it’s just something that comes with being pregnant.

Okay, honestly, I didn’t know that was possible.
Did it stay quite light after peeing?
    What else were you experiencing?

Yeah, I actually had it pretty much all the time, but especially after going to the toilet.
Besides that, I’ve been really nauseous from the start with all three, and this time I’ve been incredibly tired during the first few weeks.

Ok, that's weird because what I read says it goes away within a few days.
I don't have nausea, but I do feel my hormones at work through my mood. My breasts also don't feel right.

Yeah, in general it usually goes away after a few days though..
I just haven't had as much luck with my body. It's doing its own thing..
This time I've been bleeding until 10 weeks.

It's quite early for you to already have symptoms like nausea and stuff.
But exciting! When are you planning to take a test?

    Ok, it can vary, so...
I have no idea what to expect... what I'm losing right now is minimal.
Ok, it would be unusual if you didn't expect that.
Yeah, those symptoms can also fluctuate, I believe...
Um, they say from week 5 it's reliable...

It's your first pregnancy, I gather.. Extra exciting, huh..

Everything can indeed vary. It's really very different from body to body.

You'll have to wait and see if you get your period. If not, you can try a test. The cheap ones from Action are fine. I've always used those and you can test a few days before your period is due. So if you really can't wait anymore, you can wait about 3 days and then try a first test. If it's positive, you know you're pregnant. But if it's negative, it doesn't say much yet and it could also mean you just need to wait a few more days.

    That's true!
Yeah, I don't want to get too hopeful, you know...
Started two months ago and had no idea if it would happen quickly. I'm 32, so I did want to start, but also just got a new job, bought a house, and I'm in my final year of studies.
I don't want to share it with my circle yet either.

Ooh, busy busy indeed.. But I totally get it..
It would be nice if you were already pregnant by now.. In 2 months you'd have been lucky fast.
Let me know if you've tested?
