8 days overdue and test negative

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum, but I hope you can help me with my question.
My husband and I have been trying to conceive for a while now.
Today I'm 8 days late, but I've tested twice and both were negative. When should I make an appointment with the doctor? I find it quite personal and I'm not sure I'd like to discuss it with the doctor. Or should I wait and test again in a week?

Oh, that's so frustrating.. How personal it is.. You have a GP for that.. I'd go so you don't drive yourself crazy. -

Thank you for your reply, you're right, that's exactly what a GP is for. I think I'll wait a bit more this week and go to the GP next week if the test is still negative and I haven't gotten my period yet. -

Makes sense.. A few days overdue can always happen.. But there should be a period or a positive test at some point..

How did it go in the end? I'm really curious to hear your story.
I'm actually 4 days overdue now and had a negative test. I'm allowed to test again on Friday if it still hasn't started.
